Which logo is
the one?

Three different logo conversations have been running at once — the icon, the name on the wordmark, and the green badge that is on the site today. This page puts them side by side so we can settle all three in one go.

Where this came from. Everything here is pulled from your own messages in the BYK Marketing group and the direct chat — not new suggestions. Each option below shows exactly who said what, and when.

There is one real decision to make and two smaller ones. They are marked Decision 1, 2 and 3.

Decision 1 · The icon

The palm mark

This is the closest thing to a settled decision already — two of you agreed on it in the group on 4 September. It is the small square mark: the app icon, the browser tab, the stamp on merch.

The flyer base with the gold palm mark at the top

The flyer base you approved on 4 Sep. The gold mark at the top is the one Mimi called out — a palm tree whose trunk doubles as a music note.

Agreed in the group

Palm-note mark, gold

The palm and the music note are the same shape. Works down to a tiny favicon because it is one solid silhouette.

"That should definitely become the icon"Mimi — 4 Sep, 19:55

"I agree"Fahmy — 4 Sep, 19:55

Same mark, other colour

Palm-note mark, cream

Identical shape for dark backgrounds — the plum site, dark merch, a black tee. You would use both, not pick one.

Gold on plum

How the gold mark actually sits on the deep purple used across the site and the ticket.

What we need from you: a yes to the palm mark as the icon — or tell us it is not the one. If it is a yes, it goes on the browser tab, the ticket and the app icon this week.

Decision 2 · The name on the logo

BYK, BYZ, or Bykonz?

On 2 September Bykonz asked to see the name stacked three different ways. That question was never closed, and the site still says something different again. This is the one that actually needs deciding.

BYK YARD in plum and gold
Option A

BYK YARD — plum & gold

The short name, in the brand colours. Matches the ticket and checkout exactly as they look right now.

BYK YARD in black on cream
Option B

BYK YARD — black on cream

Same lockup, stripped back. This is the one that prints cleanly on anything and survives being embroidered.

BYKONZ YARD full wordmark
Option C — in use

BYKONZ YARD — full name

The full name spelled out. This is what is on the site and the ticket today, so choosing it means changing nothing.

What we need from you: pick one — BYK, BYZ or the full Bykonz. If you want BYZ drawn before deciding, say so and it will be ready in a day. Everything else is waiting on this: merch, flyers, the site header, the ticket.

Decision 3 · The green badge

Where does the grass logo live?

The green grass-texture logo is on the site and on your ticketing admin right now. It is a different look to the gold palm mark — not worse, just doing a different job.

Grass logo

Loud, textured, street. On the site header, the ticketing dashboard and the ticket itself as of today.

Grass badge, embroidered
Merch version

Grass badge — embroidered

The same idea as a stitched patch. This is the hoodie and cap version, not a screen version.

Cream, plum and gold badge
The quieter one

Cream / plum / gold badge

Sits closer to the gold palm mark. If you want one consistent look everywhere, this is the direction.

What we need from you: is the grass logo the main brand, or is it the merch and social look while the gold palm mark leads the website and tickets? Both answers are fine — we just need to know which.

In short

Three answers and we are done

#The questionWhere it stands
1 Is the gold palm mark the icon? Mimi and Fahmy already said yes on 4 Sep. Just needs confirming.
2 BYK, BYZ, or the full Bykonz on the wordmark? Open. Asked on 2 Sep, never answered. This is the one holding things up.
3 Is the green grass logo the main brand or the merch look? Open. It is live everywhere by default, not by a decision.

Why it matters now. The website, the ticket, the checkout page and the admin all carry a logo today. They are consistent with each other — but that came from us picking one to get you live, not from you choosing. Once you answer 1, 2 and 3, every one of those updates in a single pass.
